Last Thursday, 12 companies from the Lachine, LaSalle, South West and Verdun boroughs took home trophies for business excellence at the UNIO 2013 Awards.

Three companies are located in Lachine:

UNIO 2012 Winners
On Thursday, February 16, 20 companies—five from each of the Lachine, Lasalle, South West and Verdun boroughs—took home trophies for business excellence at the Unio 2012 Awards.
Five were from Verdun:
- Bell Canada won for its environmental and sustainable development efforts;
- Restaurant Su won the small and medium enterprise investment prize and was also recognized for improving its exterior;
- Canadian Tire won for significant investment in commercial development;
- Anodisation Verdun won for improving its exterior image and for sustainable development efforts; and
- Medz Salon also won for improving its exterior image and for sustainable development efforts.
Another five were from LaSalle:
- Labatt Breweries won for its environmental program;
- Ateliers M Driveshaft won the small and medium enterprise investment and innovation prize;
- The Angrignon Mall won for significant investment in commercial development;
- Morgan Schaffer won for international market development; and
- The envelope manufacturer, Enveloppe Concept, won for entrepreneurial distinction.
