I wrote this poem after my mom, Marilyn Violet Himphen Arial died two years ago. I miss you mom.

If I die tomorrow

Remember

I had a good life

And I loved you

I had time to play

And time to rebel

And time for friends

And I loved you

I did what I could

Always with truth

Though I didn’t do everything

Because I loved you

You expected to go first

But I knew I’d lead the way

I didn’t tell you

Because I loved you

We got lots of time together

Though not enough

It’ll have to do

Just remember I loved you
