The City of Montreal sent 96 public advisories in July and the first week of August.

Several were legal notices to inform the population about demolitions, condo conversions and other projects that break current zoning bylaws.

Tuesday, September 3: Condo Conversions

Three boroughs plan to allow the conversion of various buildings into divided properties (condos), despite the city-wide ban. All the approvals will take place on Tuesday, September 3.

Côte-des-Neiges—Notre-Dame-de-Grâce plans to approve the conversion of 4624–4626, avenue Marcil and 5592–5594, avenue McLynn at their regular meeting on Tuesday, September 3 at 7 p.m.

Verdun plans to discuss the conversion of 4829 à 4833, boulevard Lasalle at a council meeting in room 205 on Tuesday, September 3 at 6 p.m.

Villeray–Saint-Michel–Parc-Extension plans to approve the conversion of 7974 to 7978, rue Saint-Denis, lot 3 454 127 at their regular meeting on Tuesday, September 3 at 7 p.m.

Demolition of 10752, rue Saint-Denis

The Borough of Ahunsic Cartierville will announce whether they plan to demolish a circa-1910 two-storey home on Saint-Denis between Gouin and Henri-Bourassa soon.

Building at the corner of Concorde and Burke

The borough of Ville Marie held a register for citizens who want a public referendum to ask for approval of a commercial and residential mixed-use building on the corner of Concorde and Burke. The project falls under file number 1136090015.

If 454 people living, working or owning buildings within zone 9 signed the register, the borough will have to hold a public referendum to determine whether the project can go ahead in its current form. Zone 9 includes all of the buildings south of Sherbrooke, north of de Maisonneuve, east of Drummond and west of Bleury as well as several north of St. Catherine.

I tried to find out how many people signed the register, but the 311 agents told me I’d have to make an access to information request. If someone knows, please make a comment below.
